This role will lead the development of differentiated product value propositions, customer experiences, and go-to-market strategies designed to drive sustainable balance growth and high customer satisfaction.
As a senior member of the product team, you will operate with a strong P&L-owner mindset, serving as a key arbiter of product-level economics. While this role does not carry direct P&L ownership, it is accountable for defining and owning the economic narrative of the portfolio—evaluating tradeoffs across growth, pricing, customer experience, risk, and funding objectives to inform leadership decision-making.

- Serve as the de facto owner of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment across strategic objectives, customer needs, economic outcomes, and delivery priorities
- Lead product design and lifecycle management for defined customer segments in close partnership with key business and functional stakeholders
- Provide overall product management leadership and strategic direction for consumer checking products (Prime and Premier Checking) and associated experiences
- Evaluate and arbitrate trade-offs across growth initiatives, pricing strategies, experience investments, and risk considerations in partnership with Finance and Risk leaders
- Provide vision, expertise, and strategic guidance to senior leadership on innovative products and solutions that meet evolving customer needs
- Analyze customer insights, market and competitive dynamics, trends, regulatory requirements, and risk considerations to inform product strategy, design, and experience delivery
- Develop and influence business plans, success metrics, requirements, and change initiatives across multiple teams and organizations
- Articulate product vision and strategy, define scope, establish measurable outcomes, and guide the evolution of deposit products, solutions, and experiences
- Engage and influence leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and delivery teams across the enterprise to drive alignment and execution
- Act as a senior thought partner to executive leadership by shaping agendas, framing decisions, influencing outcomes, and driving strategic clarity
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven senior-level accountability influencing product strategy, priorities, economics, and outcomes without formal P&L ownership
- Financial product management experience with strong knowledge of core banking products (Prime and Premier Checking); banking experience preferred
- Strong product and program management expertise, including roadmap development, strategy, and end-to-end lifecycle delivery in an Agile environment
- Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to synthesize insights, financials, and metrics to inform decisions and identify opportunities
- Effective executive communicator with the ability to deliver compelling, data-backed presentations and strategic narratives
- Demonstrated ability to assess market and competitive dynamics and drive improvements to customer experience and operational efficiency
- Strong influencer and relationship builder, able to lead cross-functional teams and gain alignment across senior leaders and key partners
- Results-oriented self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, capable of operating independently while mobilizing resources and motivating teams
- Skilled in visualizing, articulating, and solving complex problems while operating effectively in ambiguity within a highly matrixed organization

Which companies sponsor visas for product leads in Ohio?
Several large Ohio-based employers have a documented history of H-1B sponsorship for product roles. JPMorgan Chase in Columbus, Progressive Insurance in Mayfield Village, Nationwide in Columbus, and Kroger Technology in Cincinnati are among the most active. Healthcare systems like Cleveland Clinic and OhioHealth also maintain product organizations and have sponsored product leads in the past.
Which visa types are most common for product lead roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product lead positions in Ohio, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding L-1B specialized knowledge visas through a multinational employer occasionally transfer into product lead roles. O-1A visas are less common but possible for candidates with demonstrable industry recognition.
Which cities in Ohio have the most product lead sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's primary hub for product lead sponsorship, driven by its concentration of fintech, insurance, and retail technology companies. Cincinnati follows closely, with Kroger Technology, Fifth Third Bank, and several mid-size software firms hiring product leads. Cleveland has a growing base in healthcare technology and industrial software, with employers like Cleveland Clinic and Sherwin-Williams maintaining product teams.
How to find product lead visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate lets you filter product lead roles specifically by visa sponsorship availability and state, making it straightforward to identify Ohio employers actively hiring. Because sponsorship willingness varies significantly by company size and hiring cycle, using a focused platform like Migrate Mate saves time compared to manually screening general job listings. Setting up alerts for Ohio product lead roles helps you respond quickly when positions open.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for product leads seeking visa sponsorship?
Ohio's lower cost of living compared to coastal tech markets means prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions may differ from those in San Francisco or New York, which can affect how employers structure compensation packages. Columbus in particular has a growing university pipeline through Ohio State University, which means employers there are more accustomed to sponsoring international candidates entering product roles from graduate programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product lead jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
