POSITION INFORMATION
Position Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager to own the “Intelligence Infrastructure” that fuels an agentic operational workflow. Instead of managing manual processes, you will be the architect of our Source of Truth. You will focus on how we collect, aggregate, and govern data within our scalable cloud data and compute ecosystem to ensure our platform and our AI agents are operating on high-fidelity, high-accuracy data.
The Product Manager supports and grows this infrastructure throughout its life cycle, working in a matrix environment across multiple internal departments, interfacing with customers, researching and identifying options to improve the product. This role works across multiple internal departments to define and implement the product’s vision and roadmap, assuring measurable attainment of revenue and customer satisfaction goals, and aligning all activities with HealthStream’s organizational strategy and goals.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
Product Management
- Create confidence, clarity, and customer connection for all product stakeholders.
- Create and manage strategy for Intelligence Infrastructure within the context of the overall product family and organizational priorities.
- Conduct research to fully understand the competitive environment, market share and report internally on this analysis.
- Informally manage, support, and direct an organization-wide and cross-functional team of employees who work within a matrix environment for assigned products.
- Identify, resolve, and monitor customer and product issues with the assistance of client services support.
- Lead the strategy for aggregating disparate datasets into our centralized analytical data warehouse, moving us from silos to a unified platform.
- Develop and document the “Rules of the Road” for our data. You will define the logic and schemas that our AI agents use to make decisions.
- Work closely with engineering to optimize our cloud pipeline and warehousing environment for scalability and performance.
- Establish data validation rules and ingestion standards to ensure the “Source of Truth” remains clean and reliable.
- Act as the translator between raw data infrastructure and high-level product goals.
- Work effectively with Data Engineers and AI Researchers, influencing the technical roadmap through data-backed evidence rather than formal authority.
- A “Builder” mentality—you are comfortable taking a high-level goal (e.g., “Aggregate data”) and architecting the rules to make it happen without a step-by-step manual.
- Successfully use modern technical tools (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Console, Postman/APIs) alongside standard business applications.
- Ability to explain data schemas and infrastructure logic to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate messy, disparate data sources into a structured “Source of Truth” for automated systems.
Data Partner Management
- Research and evaluate potential new data partnerships and other external opportunities.
- Make recommendations for future new partnerships and manage product enhancements with existing partners.
- Conduct negotiations with partners to finalize business relationships and contracting, with the support of Product Management leadership and internal legal counsel.
- Manage ongoing relationships with existing data partners and data providers, including gaining a deep understanding of business and technical aspects of the relationship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field preferred (e.g., CS, Data Science, Info Systems) or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years in Product Management, Data Engineering, or Technical Analytics.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, or Glue) and Snowflake is strongly preferred.
- Experience with API-first architecture and an understanding of the LLM lifecycle (prompt engineering, context management, or RAG) is a significant advantage.
- Experience in healthcare technology, credentialing, or compliance software is a plus.
Qualifications
- Plans and executes own activities with generally defined goals and minimal supervision.
- Manages activities for multiple concurrent and complex projects with the appropriate prioritization and focus.
- Works within a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional team with respect towards others and focus on successfully meeting team goals.
- Appropriately influences cross-functional team members without formal authority or management control.
- Establishes high level of trust and credibility internally, with business partners, and with customers.
Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $86,400 - $100,000. Salary will be determined on the candidate’s level of experience and qualifications. Compensation will be commensurate with skills, relevant experience, and performance in similar roles.

Which companies in Tennessee sponsor visas for product lead roles?
Nashville-based employers are the most active sponsors for product lead roles in Tennessee. HCA Healthcare, Asurion, and AllianceBernstein have histories of H-1B sponsorship for product and technology positions. Smaller healthcare SaaS companies in the Nashville tech corridor, such as Healthstream and Qualifacts, also hire product leads and have sponsored visas for international candidates with relevant domain experience.
Which visa types are most common for product lead roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product lead roles in Tennessee, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa instead. Candidates already holding L-1A status who are transitioning from a multinational managerial role may also find product lead positions compatible with their classification.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most product lead visa sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the majority of product lead sponsorship opportunities in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare technology, fintech, and enterprise software companies. Knoxville has a smaller but growing tech presence connected to the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory's research ecosystem. Memphis contributes opportunities in logistics technology and supply chain software, particularly among companies serving the region's large transportation and distribution sector.
How to find product lead visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters product lead roles by state, making it straightforward to browse Tennessee-specific opportunities. Because product lead is a senior role, it helps to target companies in Nashville's healthcare tech and fintech sectors, where H-1B sponsorship is more established. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active sponsorship histories, which reduces time spent researching individual companies.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product lead roles and visa sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects the total compensation calculation employers use when demonstrating compliance with prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules. Nashville's healthcare technology concentration means product leads with clinical informatics, revenue cycle, or health data backgrounds are particularly competitive. The University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt University also generate a pipeline of international graduates who pursue product roles locally, meaning competition for sponsorship-eligible positions can be meaningful at the mid-to-senior level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product lead jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
