Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for strategy managers?
Large Ohio-based employers with established immigration programs include Nationwide Insurance, Progressive, Fifth Third Bank, KeyBank, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and Procter and Gamble. Major corporations with significant Ohio operations, such as JPMorgan Chase and Amazon, also have the legal infrastructure to sponsor H-1B visas for strategy manager roles. Smaller firms sponsor far less frequently, so targeting large or multinational employers improves your odds considerably.
What visa types are most common for strategy manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for strategy managers in Ohio, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational experience may qualify for an L-1A intracompany transferee visa if moving from a related foreign entity. Australians may also pursue the E-3 visa, which follows a similar process to the H-1B but without the lottery.
Which Ohio cities have the most strategy manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Columbus generates the highest volume of strategy manager sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of insurance, financial services, and technology employers, including Nationwide and JPMorgan Chase's large Ohio operations. Cleveland is a secondary hub, with healthcare systems like Cleveland Clinic and financial institutions sponsoring regularly. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, anchored by Procter and Gamble, Fifth Third Bank, and a growing professional services sector.
How to find strategy manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, so you can search strategy manager roles in Ohio without wading through positions that exclude international candidates. The platform surfaces employers in Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati that have active sponsorship programs. Filtering by role and state lets you focus outreach on organizations that have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor, which is the most efficient starting point for your search.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for strategy manager sponsorship?
Ohio's Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations apply to all H-1B petitions filed for Ohio worksites, and strategy manager roles are typically classified at SOC code 11-1021 (General and Operations Managers) or 13-1111 (Management Analysts), each carrying different wage levels. Columbus-area employers tend to move faster on sponsorship decisions than smaller regional firms. Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University also serve as active pipelines, so employers recruiting from those programs are generally familiar with OPT-to-H-1B transitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
