Location: cincinnati ohio Onsite
Onshore Lead Informatica PowerCenter Rationalization
Experience
12-18 years in Informatica ETL delivery with strong client-facing leadership experience
Role Summary
The Onshore Lead will be responsible for technical and delivery leadership of the PowerCenter Rationalization and Assessment program from an onshore position. The role acts as the primary client-facing technical authority responsible for driving solution clarity, guiding offshore teams, managing risks, and ensuring high-confidence rationalization outputs that support future modernization or IDMC migration.
This role bridges client stakeholders, project management, and offshore delivery teams with a strong focus on governance, validation, and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Functional Leadership
- Provide overall technical leadership for PowerCenter rationalization and assessment activities
- Guide teams on
- Inventory analysis of PowerCenter mappings, workflows, sessions, and jobs
- Rationalization and deprecation approach
- Complexity classification and modernization readiness assessment
- Review and validate key deliverables including
- Rationalized inventory
- Deprecation candidate lists
- Environment reconciliation results
- Testing and validation summaries
Client Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary onshore interface for client technical and business stakeholders
- Lead client discussions on
- Rationalization findings
- Risk areas and assumptions
- Deprecation recommendations and approvals
- Coordinate with client SMEs for
- Functional clarifications
- Batch cycle understanding
- Dependency confirmations
- Support executive-level walkthroughs and readouts
Offshore Coordination Delivery Oversight
- Provide direction and clarity to offshore ETL engineers, data analysts, and testers
- Review offshore outputs for
- Accuracy
- Consistency
- Adherence to agreed methodology
- Ensure common understanding of standards, templates, and validation criteria
- Resolve technical and functional ambiguities raised by offshore teams
Risk Quality Governance
- Identify and manage technical and execution risks especially related to
- Production stability
- Incorrect deprecation decisions
- Environment inconsistencies
- Enforce zero-disruption principles for production systems
- Ensure that all recommendations are evidence-based and defensible
- Align with the Project Manager on RAID dependencies and decision tracking
Planning Estimation Support
- Provide inputs to
- Complexity scoring
- Migration effort estimation
- Modernization roadmap planning
- Ensure that rationalization outputs are usable for downstream
- IDMC migration planning
- Conversion feasibility assessment
Required Skills Expertise
