Which agriculture companies sponsor TN visas in Ohio?
Ohio's largest agribusiness employers include Bunge, Cargill, Corteva Agriscience, Scotts Miracle-Gro, and Nutrien. Processing and grain handling companies in the northwest corridor around Findlay and Toledo also file TN visa Labor Condition Applications regularly. Research-oriented roles at these companies tend to have the clearest TN qualification path because they require a specific degree in agronomy, food science, or a related specialty occupation field.
Which cities in Ohio have the most agriculture TN sponsorship jobs?
Columbus anchors Ohio's agricultural research and corporate agribusiness sector, with several Fortune 500 food and crop science companies maintaining regional offices there. Findlay, Maumee, and the broader northwest Ohio corridor are centers for grain processing and agricultural chemicals. Wooster, home to Ohio State University's agricultural research campus, draws demand for plant scientists and agronomists from both private employers and affiliated research organizations.
What types of agriculture roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN status covers specific professional occupations listed under USMCA, and in agriculture the qualifying roles typically include agronomists, agricultural engineers, animal scientists, food scientists, and plant breeders. The role must require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. General farm management, equipment operation, and supervisory production roles do not qualify because they don't meet the specialty occupation standard applied to TN petitions.
How do I find agriculture TN sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters Ohio agriculture job listings by TN visa sponsorship, showing you which employers have filed TN Labor Condition Applications in agricultural occupations. This lets you focus on companies with a documented sponsorship track record rather than guessing which employers are open to TN candidates. Search by crop science, food science, or agricultural engineering roles to narrow results to Ohio-based positions most likely to support your TN application.
Are there state-specific considerations for TN agriculture sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio does not impose state-level immigration filing requirements on top of federal TN rules, but employers in Ohio's agricultural sector often work with seasonal production cycles that affect hiring timelines. TN status is employer-specific, so if you move between agribusiness employers within Ohio, each new employer must establish a new TN authorization. Roles tied to Ohio State University's agricultural extension programs may involve academic employer classifications, which can affect how the sponsoring entity structures the TN documentation.
