Search Insurance Jobs in OhioInsurance TN Sponsorship Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
Which insurance companies sponsor TN visas in Ohio?
Ohio is home to several large insurance employers with established immigration support programs. Nationwide and Progressive, both headquartered in Columbus, regularly hire specialty occupation roles that can qualify for TN visa status. Anthem operates a significant presence in Cincinnati, and medical liability and specialty insurers across Cleveland also hire in qualifying fields. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific role and employer's current hiring needs, not the company name alone.
Which cities in Ohio have the most insurance TN sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is the clear center of Ohio's insurance industry, anchored by Nationwide's headquarters and a dense concentration of carriers, reinsurers, and third-party administrators. Cincinnati follows closely, with strength in commercial and health insurance. Cleveland has a notable presence in specialty and medical liability insurance. Smaller markets like Westerville and Dublin, both suburbs of Columbus, also host insurance operations that hire in TN-qualifying roles.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN status in insurance is generally supported for roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. Actuaries, financial analysts, accountants, statisticians, and computer systems analysts working within insurance operations are among the most commonly approved categories. Underwriting and risk management roles may qualify depending on the degree and job duties. General claims adjusting or sales positions typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for TN.
How do I find insurance TN sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by TN visa type, select Ohio as your target state, and browse insurance roles from employers who have indicated sponsorship willingness. This saves significant time compared to manually vetting job postings. Because TN eligibility depends on both the role and the employer's process, reviewing postings on Migrate Mate alongside direct outreach to employers' HR or immigration teams is a practical approach.
Are there state-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in Ohio insurance roles?
Ohio does not impose state-level visa restrictions on private-sector hiring, so TN sponsorship follows standard federal requirements. One practical consideration is Ohio's licensing framework: insurance roles requiring an Ohio Department of Insurance license (such as adjusters or producers) may not align with TN-qualifying specialty occupation categories regardless of sponsorship interest. Roles in actuarial science, analytics, or financial analysis within insurance firms are less affected by this licensing consideration and more consistently align with TN eligibility criteria.
