Which investment management companies sponsor TN visas in Ohio?
Ohio-based firms with established investment management operations include Nationwide Insurance, KeyCorp, Fifth Third Bancorp, Huntington National Bank, and American Century Investments. Larger asset managers and registered investment advisers tend to have in-house immigration support and are more familiar with TN sponsorship for roles in portfolio management, quantitative research, and financial analysis than smaller boutique firms.
Which cities in Ohio have the most investment management TN sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads due to its concentration of insurance-linked asset managers and regional bank investment arms. Cleveland has a strong institutional investment presence, including private equity and wealth management firms clustered around the financial district. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, with Fifth Third and Western & Southern Financial Group among the larger employers running investment management divisions that hire across analytical and advisory functions.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify include financial analyst, portfolio analyst, investment analyst, risk analyst, and economist positions, provided the job requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as finance, economics, accounting, or mathematics. General client-facing sales roles or positions where any business degree satisfies the requirement are less likely to meet the TN specialty occupation standard, so the specific job description and degree alignment matter.
How do I find investment management TN sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa holders and lists investment management roles in Ohio from employers already open to TN sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job boards where sponsorship information is inconsistent, Migrate Mate lets you search directly by visa type and state, so you're seeing roles where the employer context is already relevant to your TN status. It's the most targeted starting point for this search.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in investment management?
Ohio does not impose additional state-level immigration requirements beyond federal TN rules, but investment management roles at registered investment advisers or broker-dealers may require FINRA licensing (such as Series 65 or Series 66) independent of your visa status. Securing those licenses while on TN status is possible but adds a step. Some larger Ohio employers also require security clearances or background checks that can affect hiring timelines, which is worth confirming with each employer during the interview process.
