Search Account Manager Jobs in OklahomaAccount Manager Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in Oklahoma sponsor visas for account managers?
Energy sector employers including Devon Energy, ONEOK, and Williams Companies in Oklahoma City and Tulsa have histories of H-1B visa sponsorship for business and technical roles. Healthcare organizations such as SSM Health and Saint Francis Health System also sponsor account management positions. Technology firms and staffing agencies operating in the OKC metro round out the sponsoring employer pool for this role.
Which visa types are most common for account manager roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account managers in Oklahoma, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a technical discipline. Australians may pursue the E-3 visa as an alternative. Canadian and Mexican nationals sometimes use TN visas where the role scope fits an eligible USMCA category.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most account manager sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the overwhelming majority of account manager sponsorship opportunities in the state. Oklahoma City benefits from a concentration of energy, government contracting, and healthcare employers, while Tulsa draws on its industrial manufacturing base and regional headquarters of several energy firms. Smaller markets like Norman and Edmond occasionally offer positions tied to OKC-area employer networks.
How to find account manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse account manager roles in Oklahoma without sifting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can search by state and role type to surface employers who have actively sponsored visas for similar positions. This targeted approach saves significant time compared to general job searches where sponsorship intent is rarely disclosed upfront.
Are there state-specific considerations for account managers pursuing sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's energy industry drives demand for technically oriented account managers who can serve upstream oil and gas clients, which means candidates with engineering or sciences backgrounds alongside business experience tend to be competitive. The H-1B prevailing wage requirements apply statewide and are set by the Department of Labor based on the specific location and role level, so Oklahoma City and Tulsa wage benchmarks differ slightly from national averages.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account manager jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
