Which companies sponsor visas for business development specialists in Oklahoma?
Energy companies including Devon Energy, ONEOK, and Enable Midstream have sponsored business development roles in Oklahoma. Aerospace employers like Spirit AeroSystems and the broader Tulsa aerospace cluster also appear in sponsorship filings. Healthcare systems and technology firms based in Oklahoma City round out the sponsoring employer pool. Sponsorship frequency varies by company size and hiring cycle, so checking current LCA filings gives the most accurate picture.
Which visa types are most common for business development specialist roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for business development specialists in Oklahoma, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or a related discipline. The L-1B intracompany transfer visa applies when a candidate is moving from an overseas office of the same employer. TN visa status covers Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or business roles under the USMCA agreement.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most business development specialist sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City accounts for the largest share of business development specialist sponsorship activity in the state, driven by its concentration of energy firms, healthcare systems, and corporate headquarters. Tulsa is the second-largest market, particularly strong in aerospace, manufacturing, and financial services. Norman and Stillwater see occasional openings connected to university-affiliated research and technology commercialization organizations.
How to find business development specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters business development specialist roles in Oklahoma by visa sponsorship availability, so you avoid sifting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. You can search by city, industry, and visa type to match your situation. Reviewing active LCA filings from the Department of Labor alongside Migrate Mate listings helps confirm which Oklahoma employers are actively sponsoring at any given time.
What should business development specialists know about Oklahoma's job market before applying for sponsorship?
Oklahoma's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B business development roles are determined by the Department of Labor using local Oklahoma City or Tulsa wage data, which reflects regional market rates rather than national averages. Candidates with backgrounds in energy, aerospace supply chains, or healthcare services align well with the state's dominant industries and may find their experience directly relevant to employer needs. University pipelines from the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State also feed into local corporate hiring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development specialist jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
