Which companies sponsor visas for data science analysts in Oklahoma?
Energy companies including Devon Energy, Williams Companies, and ONEOK have sponsored data science roles through H-1B filings. Major healthcare systems like INTEGRIS Health and OU Health, along with aerospace firms in the Tulsa area, also appear in sponsorship records. Large retailers such as Dollar Tree and Love's Travel Stops, both headquartered in Oklahoma, have sponsored data and analytics positions as well.
Which visa types are most common for data science analyst roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data science analysts in Oklahoma, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as statistics, computer science, or mathematics. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work while their employer files an H-1B petition. Those with extraordinary ability may also explore the O-1A category.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most data science analyst sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City accounts for the largest share of data science analyst sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of energy headquarters, healthcare systems, and financial services firms. Tulsa is a secondary hub, particularly in energy, aerospace, and manufacturing analytics. Norman, home to the University of Oklahoma, occasionally generates demand through research institutions and technology-adjacent employers near campus.
How to find data science analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search data science analyst roles in Oklahoma without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from energy, healthcare, and aerospace employers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa who have active sponsorship histories, saving significant time compared to unfiltered job searches.
What should data science analysts know about Oklahoma's hiring market before applying for sponsored roles?
Oklahoma's sponsorship activity is concentrated in a relatively small number of large employers across energy, healthcare, and aerospace. Employers must pay the prevailing wage for your role and location, which is determined by the Department of Labor. University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University both produce data science graduates, creating a competitive local talent pool that employers weigh alongside international candidates when evaluating sponsorship costs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data science analyst jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
