Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for data science analysts?
Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, American Family Insurance, Epic Systems, and ManpowerGroup are among the Wisconsin-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity for data and analytics roles. Large financial services firms and health technology companies in the state tend to have more established immigration infrastructure, making them more likely to support sponsorship than smaller regional employers.
Which visa types are most common for data science analyst roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data science analysts in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT may also work for Wisconsin employers before transitioning to H-1B status through their employer's petition.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most data science analyst sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and Madison account for the majority of data science analyst sponsorship activity in Wisconsin. Milwaukee's concentration of financial services and insurance firms, including Northwestern Mutual and Fiserv, generates consistent demand. Madison benefits from proximity to the University of Wisconsin and a growing technology sector. Green Bay and Appleton have smaller but active employer bases in manufacturing and insurance analytics.
How to find data science analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to find data science analyst roles in Wisconsin without sorting through employers who won't sponsor. You can filter by state and role type to see current openings from Wisconsin employers with active sponsorship history. This saves significant time compared to manually researching individual company immigration policies.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for data science analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin employers filing H-1B petitions for data science analysts must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Milwaukee, Madison, or relevant metropolitan area, not a national average. The University of Wisconsin system also produces a strong local pipeline of data talent, which means competition for sponsored roles can be meaningful. Candidates with domain expertise in insurance, financial services, or health informatics tend to align best with Wisconsin's primary hiring sectors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data science analyst jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
