At Retail Insight (RI), we transform data into actionable strategies, empowering retailers and CPGs to make smarter decisions. Our cutting-edge algorithms and innovative retail execution products are trusted by many of the world’s leading companies to improve sales, profitability, and operational efficiency.
From tackling out-of-stocks and poor in-store execution to reducing waste, markdowns, and shrink, RI helps businesses unlock performance drivers through advanced analytics.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone who is curious, creative, and technically sharp to step into a new role as an AI Applications Analyst to help us build the next generation of internal tools. This is a hands-on role where you’ll blend Python development, AI integration, and product thinking to design smart, scalable solutions that make work easier, faster, and more insightful for teams across the business.
If you’ve ever wanted to build apps that feel magical to use — this is your chance.
Responsibilities
- Build AI-powered tools that help teams access insights, automate workflows, and interact with data in natural language.
- Use frameworks like Streamlit, Chainlit, and Google ADK to create apps that combine data, visualisation, and AI in user-friendly interfaces.
- Integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and intelligent agents to deliver smarter, context-aware outputs.
- Develop self-serve analytics tools so teams can answer their own business questions without heavy analyst support.
- Automate recurring insight workflows using SQL, dbt, and embedded analytics.
- Monitor, refine, and improve AI performance through structured feedback loops, robust logging, and prompt optimisation.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and operations partners to identify high-impact use cases and turn them into tools people love to use.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of relational data models.
- Experience building or supporting internal tools or dashboards (Streamlit, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Familiarity with concepts in machine learning, LLMs, or conversational interfaces.
- Clear communicator, able to work across teams.
- Naturally curious, quick to learn new tools and tech.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Python scripting or app development experience.
- Hands-on with Streamlit, Chainlit, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of Google ADK, Vertex AI, or LLM orchestration.
- Understanding of RAG pipelines and agent workflows.
- Experience with dbt, LookML, or modular data modelling.
- Track record of building self-serve analytics tools or automating insights.
Please note this role will be in office 5 days a week due to the nature of the project.

Which companies sponsor visas for data science analysts in Arkansas?
Walmart and its technology subsidiaries in Bentonville have a documented history of H-1B sponsorship for analytical roles. Other Arkansas employers with sponsorship activity include Windstream Communications, Dillard's, and several healthcare systems such as Arkansas Children's and Baptist Health. Sponsorship decisions are employer-specific and depend on the role's requirements, budget, and internal immigration policies.
Which visa types are most common for data science analyst roles in Arkansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data science analyst positions in Arkansas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a field like statistics, computer science, or mathematics, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work while an employer pursues H-1B sponsorship. The O-1A is an option for analysts with exceptional recognition in their field.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most data science analyst sponsorship jobs?
Bentonville and the broader northwest Arkansas corridor lead the state in sponsorship activity, largely driven by Walmart's corporate and technology operations. Little Rock follows as the state capital and home to major healthcare networks, financial institutions, and state government agencies with analytical hiring needs. Fayetteville, home to the University of Arkansas, also generates demand through university-affiliated research and nearby tech employers.
How to find data science analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse data science analyst openings in Arkansas without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by state and role type to surface employers in Bentonville, Little Rock, and Fayetteville that have active sponsorship programs. Checking employer H-1B disclosure data through the Department of Labor can also help verify past sponsorship history before applying.
What state-specific factors should data science analysts know about working in Arkansas?
Arkansas has a lower cost of living than coastal tech hubs, which affects prevailing wage benchmarks that employers must meet under H-1B rules. The Department of Labor sets prevailing wages by metropolitan area, so Bentonville and Little Rock rates differ from national averages. Northwest Arkansas has grown significantly as a corporate and logistics analytics hub, and the University of Arkansas produces a steady pipeline of domestic and international graduates that shapes local hiring competition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data science analyst jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
