Which companies sponsor visas for human resources associates in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship history in HR roles include larger organizations such as Hobby Lobby, ONEOK, and major healthcare systems like Integris Health and SSM Health. University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University also sponsor HR positions. Sponsorship is more common at companies with established international hiring programs and dedicated HR departments than at smaller regional employers.
Which visa types are most common for human resources associate roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most common visa for human resources associates in Oklahoma, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field. Some candidates enter through OPT after completing U.S. degrees before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. TN visa status is available to qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in applicable HR classifications.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most human resources associate sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the large majority of HR associate sponsorship opportunities in the state. Oklahoma City draws activity from energy companies, healthcare networks, and government contractors headquartered there. Tulsa's HR job market is shaped by its energy sector presence, including companies like ONEOK, as well as growing healthcare and financial services employers. Smaller markets like Norman and Stillwater offer limited sponsorship activity, mainly tied to their universities.
How to find human resources associate visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa-sponsored HR roles in the United States, including human resources associate positions in Oklahoma. You can filter by state and role to surface employers with active sponsorship history. This is more targeted than general job searches because results are curated for candidates who need work authorization, helping you focus your applications on employers already open to sponsoring.
Are there state-specific considerations for human resources associates pursuing sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's HR job market is heavily tied to the energy and healthcare industries, so candidates with HR experience in those sectors tend to be more competitive. Employers must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for sponsored roles, and HR associate positions in Oklahoma's metro areas generally fall under SOC codes for Human Resources Specialists or Assistants. Candidates completing HR degrees at Oklahoma universities may find OPT a practical first step toward employer-sponsored status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored human resources associate jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
