Ultimately, your contributions will significantly enhance the quality of life for patients and support the overall efficiency of the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid CNA certification recognized in the state of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, and report any abnormalities to nursing staff.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols and hospital policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
Skills:
The required skills enable CNAs to provide hands-on patient care efficiently and safely, ensuring that daily living activities are performed with empathy and professionalism. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients who may have diverse needs and for collaborating with the healthcare team to relay critical information. Attention to detail and observational skills are used daily to monitor patient conditions and identify any changes that require intervention. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with EHR systems, enhance the ability to document care accurately and streamline workflow. Additionally, specialized knowledge in areas like geriatrics allows CNAs to tailor their care approaches to better meet the unique needs of different patient populations.

Which companies sponsor visas for nursing assistants in Oklahoma?
Large health systems are the most common sponsors for nursing assistant roles in Oklahoma. INTEGRIS Health, OU Health, Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, and Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa have established HR processes for international hiring. Long-term care operators and nursing home chains with multiple Oklahoma facilities also sponsor nursing assistants, as consistent staffing shortages in the state make international recruitment a practical option for some employers.
Which visa types are most common for nursing assistant roles in Oklahoma?
The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway for nursing assistants in Oklahoma, as the role typically qualifies as skilled or unskilled labor under that category. Some employers use the H-2B visa for temporary positions, though it comes with annual cap limitations. Nursing assistants working toward licensure upgrades may eventually qualify for H-1B visa status, but that requires meeting specialty occupation criteria, which CNAs generally do not meet at the entry level.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most nursing assistant sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City has the highest concentration of nursing assistant sponsorship opportunities, driven by major hospital systems and a large network of long-term care facilities. Tulsa is the second-largest market, with Saint Francis Health System and several rehabilitation centers actively hiring. Lawton, Norman, and Broken Arrow also have consistent demand, particularly in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities that face ongoing staffing challenges in those local labor markets.
How to find nursing assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter by state and role to find nursing assistant positions in Oklahoma where employers are open to sponsoring. Because sponsorship availability is not always advertised clearly on general job boards, using a platform designed for international job seekers helps you focus your search on employers that have demonstrated willingness to sponsor CNAs in Oklahoma.
Are there state-specific considerations for nursing assistants seeking visa sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma requires nursing assistants to hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential, which involves completing a state-approved training program and passing a competency exam. International candidates should confirm their credentials are recognized in Oklahoma before beginning the visa sponsorship process. The Oklahoma State Department of Health maintains the CNA registry, and employers will typically require active certification as a condition of the job offer. Training programs at Oklahoma community colleges can help candidates meet this requirement.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing assistant jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
