INTRODUCTION
This position assists in maintaining compliance of the Nursing Program with the general policies of Oklahoma City Community College; provides support to the Nursing Program Director; maintains cooperative relations internally within the Division of Health Professions and the College and externally with hospital administrations, official agencies, and community groups; generates acceptance letters; assesses, develops, plans, and implements improvements. Orients/observes/develops/evaluates faculty and adjuncts; addresses student/faculty issues; develops standardized processes; oversees tracking and trending of transfer/exiting students; maintains records; is involved in Next Gen NCLEX development; and provides support to the Nursing Program Director through data collection and information gathering to ensure requirements are met for ongoing approval and accreditation through the College, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, Higher Learning Commission, Oklahoma Board of Nursing, and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
This position is a Safety Sensitive position and subject to mandatory pre-employment drug testing and subject to annual TB testing or monitoring as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Nursing
Minimum (5) years’ full-time work experience as a practitioner of nursing including at least three (3) years’ full-time teaching experience
Holds an active unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma or be eligible to obtain licensure in Oklahoma.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
The work is light work which requires the person in this position to occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
- Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces; this factor is important if the amount and kind of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.

- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

Requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Work is performed in a relatively safe and secure indoor work environment.
Has protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes; may be exposed to infectious diseases.
Required to occasionally function around prisoners, mental patients, or agitated, hostile patients.
Work is performed regularly where decisions are made that could lead to major community or organizational consequences if there is a failure to make the appropriate decision at the time.
Work is performed during normal office hours; must be available to oversee day and evening classes.
