Search Director Of Projects Jobs in OregonDirector Of Projects Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for director of projects roles in Oregon?
Intel is one of the most active H-1B visa sponsors in Oregon, with significant operations in Hillsboro that include program and project director-level roles. Nike, based in Beaverton, and Oregon Health and Science University in Portland also appear consistently in DOL disclosure data for senior project leadership sponsorships. Larger engineering and construction firms operating statewide have also filed LCAs for director of projects positions.
Which visa types are most common for director of projects roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for director of projects roles in Oregon, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates with extraordinary achievement may pursue the O-1A. Those transferring within a multinational company may qualify for an L-1A, which covers managerial and executive roles and does not require going through the H-1B lottery.
How to find director of projects visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find director of projects roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can search by state and role type to surface relevant openings at Oregon employers who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for senior project leadership positions.
Which cities in Oregon have the most director of projects sponsorship jobs?
Portland is the clear center of gravity for director of projects sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of tech, healthcare, and professional services employers. Hillsboro, home to Intel's largest U.S. campus, is a significant secondary hub particularly for technology and semiconductor project leadership. Beaverton and Lake Oswego also see activity due to corporate headquarters and regional offices based there.
Are there state-specific considerations for director of projects roles in Oregon that affect visa sponsorship?
Oregon's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are benchmarked to the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro metropolitan area for most roles, which reflects a competitive wage tier for director-level positions. The state's strong semiconductor presence, fueled in part by CHIPS Act investment flowing to Intel's Hillsboro facilities, has increased demand for senior project directors with technical program management backgrounds, making Oregon a more active sponsorship market than its size might suggest.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of projects jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
