Search Finance Manager Jobs in OregonFinance Manager Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for finance managers?
Intel is one of Oregon's most active H-1B sponsors overall, with finance and accounting roles frequently appearing in Department of Labor disclosure data. Nike and Adidas North America, both headquartered in the Portland metro area, also sponsor finance managers. Oregon Health & Science University and larger healthcare systems in Portland have sponsored finance roles as well, particularly for financial planning and analysis positions.
Which visa types are most common for finance manager roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for finance managers in Oregon, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Candidates with a Canadian or Mexican citizenship may be eligible for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA Economist or Accountant category, depending on their specific duties. The O-1A is an option for those with demonstrably distinguished professional records.
Which cities in Oregon have the most finance manager sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of finance manager sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, regional offices, and financial services firms. Beaverton is notable specifically because of Intel's large campus there. Eugene sees some activity through the University of Oregon and associated healthcare and manufacturing employers, though at considerably lower volume than the Portland metro area.
How to find finance manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search finance manager roles in Oregon without sifting through postings from employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces roles from companies with a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for finance and accounting positions, which is particularly useful in Oregon's tech-heavy employer base where sponsorship willingness varies significantly between firms.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for finance managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions are benchmarked to Portland metro and regional Bureau of Labor Statistics data, and employers must certify the offered wage meets the applicable level before USCIS will approve the petition. Oregon's concentration of tech and semiconductor employers means many finance manager roles involve FP&A or operations finance work, which tends to have clearer specialty occupation arguments than general management roles, potentially strengthening an H-1B petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance manager jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
