Which companies sponsor visas for recruiters in Oregon?
Nike and Adidas, both headquartered in the Portland metro area, regularly hire international talent acquisition professionals and have documented H-1B sponsorship histories. Intel's Hillsboro campus is one of the state's largest employers and sponsors visas for technical recruiters supporting its semiconductor workforce. Oregon Health and Science University and Providence Health also hire HR and recruiting professionals with sponsorship on a case-by-case basis.
Which visa types are most common for recruiter roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for recruiter roles in Oregon, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field. Employers must demonstrate the role requires specialized knowledge, which is more straightforward for senior or technical recruiting positions. Candidates from Australia may also pursue the E-3 visa, which follows a similar specialty occupation standard but without the lottery.
Which cities in Oregon have the most recruiter sponsorship jobs?
Portland is the clear center of recruiter hiring in Oregon, anchored by major corporate headquarters and a dense concentration of mid-size tech and consumer goods companies. Hillsboro, part of the Silicon Forest corridor, generates consistent demand for technical recruiters tied to Intel and its supplier ecosystem. Beaverton also sees significant volume given Nike's campus there. Eugene and Salem have smaller hiring markets, primarily through university systems and state government contractors.
How to find recruiter visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can browse recruiter roles in Oregon without manually screening out employers who won't sponsor. The platform is particularly useful for identifying which Oregon companies have active H-1B or E-3 sponsorship programs for HR and talent acquisition roles. Searching by city, such as Portland or Hillsboro, helps narrow results to the markets with the highest recruiter hiring volume.
Are there state-specific considerations for recruiter visa sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon does not impose state-level visa or work authorization requirements beyond federal standards, but prevailing wage compliance is a practical consideration employers must meet when filing a Labor Condition Application for recruiter roles. Oregon's cost of living, particularly in the Portland metro, means prevailing wage benchmarks for recruiter positions tend to be higher than national averages, which can affect whether smaller employers are willing to take on sponsorship. University of Oregon and Oregon State University also generate international HR graduate pipelines that some employers draw from.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored recruiter jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
