Which technology companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania technology employers that have filed Labor Condition Applications for H-1B1 Chile workers include large healthcare IT divisions at Penn Medicine and UPMC, financial technology firms concentrated in Philadelphia, and defense and engineering contractors near Pittsburgh. Software companies in the Philadelphia suburbs and Lehigh Valley also appear in OFLC disclosure data. Reviewing DOL OFLC filings by state and visa type shows which employers have recent filing history.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia accounts for the largest share of technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity in Pennsylvania, driven by its concentration of financial services, healthcare IT, and enterprise software employers. Pittsburgh contributes significantly through its tech sector, anchored by robotics, AI research, and large healthcare systems. The Lehigh Valley and suburban Philadelphia corridors along Route 202 add additional volume, particularly in software development and systems integration roles.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that commonly qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in the technology sector require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related specialty field. Software engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity analysts, cloud infrastructure engineers, and systems architects are among the positions most frequently supported by Labor Condition Applications in Pennsylvania. O*NET occupation profiles can confirm whether a specific role is classified as a specialty occupation under the standard applied to H-1B1 Chile applications.
How do I find technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate filters technology job listings in Pennsylvania by H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship history, surfacing employers that have filed Labor Condition Applications for this specific visa category. Searching by state and visa type on Migrate Mate lets Chilean professionals identify companies with verified sponsorship records in software, data, and cybersecurity roles, rather than relying on general job listings where sponsorship status is unclear.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal H-1B1 Chile rules, but the state's concentration of large employers in regulated industries like healthcare and financial services means that many sponsoring companies also require professional licenses or certifications alongside the visa. Chilean nationals should confirm that their degree credentials are evaluated for U.S. equivalency before the employer submits the Labor Condition Application, as USCIS reviews specialty occupation qualifications at the petition stage.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile technology jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
