Successful candidates will bring a dynamic combination of strategic thinking, tactical execution, and strong interpersonal skills to maximize value in partnership negotiations. Growing the opportunity for drivers, fleets, automakers, and other ecosystem partners to collaborate with Uber is at the core of what we do: igniting opportunity and ensuring access to the Uber platform. At Uber, we're not only transforming the way riders move but also disrupting traditional car ownership models for drivers. From facilitating vehicle access through partnerships with OEMs and fleet operators to advancing vehicle financing and electric/autonomous vehicle fleet solutions, this role is critical to our mission of enabling drivers and fleets to succeed on the Uber platform.
The Business Development team plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing partnerships across taxi, fleet, auto OEM, vehicle financing, and EV/AV fleet solutions. This role will drive high-impact collaborations with key industry players, supporting Uber's vision to expand access to income opportunities for drivers while advancing our goals in vehicle electrification and autonomous technology.

- Support senior deal leads in managing complex, high-impact deals while independently driving smaller partnership opportunities, with a clear path to taking on larger responsibilities as you gain experience.
- Engage with global OEMs, fleet operators, and other partners to build and maintain strong business relationships with senior executives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless deal execution and alignment with business priorities.
- Contribute to Uber's strategy around vehicle access, fleet and taxi partnerships, EV/AV adoption, and charging infrastructure, driving innovative solutions to enhance the supply side of Uber's marketplace.
- Assist in preparing and delivering business reviews for senior management to track progress and outline key partnership outcomes.
- Handle multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment, learning from senior dealmakers while building your own deal-making skills and experience.
- Support and contribute to the development of long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with current and prospective partners.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in business development, partner management, or related fields, with exposure to technology, automotive, consulting, investment banking, private equity, or related industries.
- Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of crafting, negotiating, and scaling successful partnerships that drive measurable impact.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to integrate business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts to lead and execute complex, multi-faceted deals.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, negotiate effectively, and lead cross-functional collaboration across product, operations, engineering, finance, and legal teams.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Experience in the automotive industry (e.g., working with OEMs, fleets, or vehicle financing solutions).
- Prior experience operating across multiple global markets in leading tech or automotive companies.
- Curiosity, along with the ability to spot issues, get to the heart of a matter, and articulate plans to address them.
- Passionate about your work and a desire to have a big impact.
- Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability.

Which technology companies in New York sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas?
New York-based technology employers with documented H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Application filings include IBM, Google's New York offices, Cisco, Bloomberg, and a range of fintech firms such as those in the payments and trading infrastructure space. Enterprise software companies and cloud service providers operating out of Midtown Manhattan and the Flatiron district also appear consistently in DOL LCA disclosure data for this visa category.
Which cities in New York have the most technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the overwhelming share of technology H-1B1 visa Chile sponsorship activity in the state, with Manhattan concentrating the highest density of qualifying employers. The Hudson Yards and Flatiron neighborhoods host significant tech employer clusters. Albany and Buffalo have smaller but active technology sectors, primarily in government IT contracting and university-affiliated research, where H-1B1 Chile sponsorship occurs less frequently than in the city.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In New York's technology sector, qualifying positions commonly include software engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity analysts, cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and machine learning engineers. General IT support roles that do not require a specific degree field typically do not meet the specialty occupation threshold under USCIS guidance.
How do I find technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate surfaces technology employers in New York with verified H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history, so you can filter directly for companies that have sponsored this visa category rather than applying broadly and asking later. This is particularly useful in New York's technology sector, where sponsorship willingness varies significantly between large enterprise employers and early-stage startups. Migrate Mate lets you target your search by role type, location, and visa filing record within the state.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile technology sponsorship?
New York State does not impose additional immigration filing requirements beyond federal H-1B1 Chile rules, but the state's prevailing wage environment is among the highest in the country due to New York City's cost of living. Employers must certify through a DOL Labor Condition Application that the offered wage meets or exceeds the prevailing wage for the occupation and geographic area, which for technology roles in New York City is tracked through the OFLC Wage Search tool and Bureau of Labor Statistics occupational data.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile technology jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
