Which technology companies in Washington sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas?
Washington's largest technology employers have documented H-1B1 Chile LCA filing histories. Microsoft and Amazon, both headquartered in the greater Seattle area, file regularly across engineering and technical roles. Salesforce, Google, and Meta also maintain Washington offices with active sponsorship activity. Smaller software and cloud companies in Bellevue and Kirkland have also appeared in OFLC filings for qualifying specialty occupation positions.
Which cities in Washington have the most technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Seattle concentrates the highest volume of technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by the density of major tech headquarters and mid-sized software companies operating downtown and in South Lake Union. Bellevue and Redmond follow closely, with Microsoft's campus in Redmond generating consistent filings. Kirkland, Bothell, and Olympia represent smaller but active secondary markets for technology roles.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in technology must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Software engineers, data scientists, cloud architects, cybersecurity analysts, machine learning engineers, systems analysts, and DevOps engineers commonly meet this threshold. Generalist roles where no specific degree field is required typically do not qualify, so the connection between the degree and the position matters significantly.
How do I find technology H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Washington technology employers with verified H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history, so you're targeting companies that have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor rather than guessing from general job boards. This saves considerable time compared to manually cross-referencing OFLC filings against open positions.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in technology?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since OFLC wage determinations are gross figures. The Seattle metropolitan area's prevailing wage levels for technology roles, tracked through the OFLC Wage Search, tend to rank among the highest nationally, meaning employers filing LCAs in Washington must certify competitive wages. Washington's concentration of large tech employers also means LCA filings are relatively common, giving Chilean nationals more options than in lower-density states.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile technology jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
