- Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Which companies in Pennsylvania sponsor visas for strategy directors?
Philadelphia-based employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship for senior strategy roles include Comcast, Aramark, and Independence Blue Cross. In Pittsburgh, PNC Financial Services, Highmark Health, and Carnegie Mellon University-affiliated spinouts have sponsored strategy-level positions. Consulting firms with Pennsylvania offices, including Deloitte and Accenture, also sponsor strategy directors through H-1B and L-1 visa transfers for international professionals.
Which visa types are most common for strategy director roles in Pennsylvania?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy directors in Pennsylvania, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field, meeting specialty occupation criteria. Senior hires moving from a parent company abroad may qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Candidates with exceptional records may also explore the O-1A, which requires demonstrated extraordinary achievement in their field.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most strategy director sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia generates the highest volume of strategy director sponsorship opportunities in Pennsylvania, driven by its concentration of financial services, healthcare, and media companies. Pittsburgh is the second-largest market, with demand coming from healthcare systems like UPMC and Highmark, as well as technology and advanced manufacturing firms. Harrisburg and suburban Philadelphia markets occasionally post strategy roles tied to government contractors and regional corporate headquarters.
How to find strategy director visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, making it straightforward to identify strategy director openings in Pennsylvania where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Because strategy director roles are senior and competitive, filtering by sponsorship upfront saves significant time. Migrate Mate's database covers employers across Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and other Pennsylvania metros with active sponsorship histories for strategy-level positions.
Are there state-specific considerations for strategy directors seeking visa sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions apply at the metropolitan statistical area level, meaning wage determinations differ between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh labor markets. Strategy directors are typically classified at wage level III or IV given the seniority of the role, which employers must meet or exceed when filing a Labor Condition Application. Pennsylvania's strong university pipeline, particularly Wharton, Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School, and Penn State, also means employers are familiar with sponsoring internationally educated business professionals.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy director jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
