Location:
200 Old True Temper Rd. - Anderson, SC
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include excavator, bulldozer, front wheel loader and other equipment using proper safety standards.
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights, mirrors, and all equipment are in good order. Report any necessary repairs to supervisor, as needed.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Complete daily maintenance tasks on the equipment.
- Complete daily tasks as directed by the supervisor in a cooperative and consistent manner.
- Understand the operations as a whole to make the best decisions and problem solve to best benefit the company and customers.
- Complete all required training in a timely manner, striving for continual improvement.
- Communicate clearly to coworkers and supervisors.
- Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is always operationally ready to minimize down time; clean tracks or wheels on equipment, as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment, such as loaders or excavators.
- Ability to work in a Drug Free Workplace; must pass drug and alcohol testing.
- Strong work ethic and ownership mentality.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and able to work in various weather conditions, such as heat, cold, rain.
- Strong customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Acts with professionalism, courtesy and cooperation toward customers and co-workers; works with a sense of urgency, honesty and trustworthiness.
- Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
- Good follow through ability; ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks.
- Maintains a feeling of pride in work; strives to achieve all goals.
Salary and Benefits:
We pay on a weekly basis and overtime is paid at 1.5x regular rate after 40 hours.
