Job Overview:
LPL Financial is seeking a VP of Prospect Marketing to join our Marketing, Communications & Experiences (MCX) organization. This role will report into the Head of Advisor Marketing and will play a critical leadership role in shaping how LPL attracts, engages, and converts prospective advisors into clients.
The VP of Prospect Marketing will act as the central connector across marketing, content, social, PR, and Business Development, ensuring a cohesive, performance-driven and digitally led go-to-market strategy for advisor recruiting and acquisition. This leader will own prospect content strategy, campaign alignment, always-on initiatives, and third-party content partnerships, with a strong emphasis on persona-driven engagement, nurture campaign strategy, and evidence-based performance marketing. They will also oversee performance marketing efforts designed to generate, nurture, and convert high-quality advisor leads at scale, while helping to better define and execute MCX’s role within LPL’s broader sales enablement ecosystem.
This role requires a player/coach mindset, combining exceptional critical thinking with proven execution effectiveness, and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders across MCX, Business Development, and the broader enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the strategic lead for prospect marketing, acting as the connective tissue across marketing, sales, content, social, PR, and Business Development teams
- Own prospect content strategy, campaign alignment, and industry positioning to ensure consistent, differentiated messaging across the acquisition funnel
- Drive digital-first engagement strategies, including persona mapping, nurture journeys, paid media, social, search, events, and advisor-facing content
- Lead evidence-based performance marketing, using insights and testing to optimize engagement, lead quality, and conversion
- Provide a clear industry point of view and strategic direction, informed by market trends, competitive dynamics, and LPL’s value proposition
- Identify and activate growth opportunities based on advisor sentiment, market insights, and Business Development priorities
- Lead and evolve the team’s always-on initiatives, ensuring consistent pipeline support and sustained market presence
- Partner closely with Business Development and Sales Enablement to enable sales effectiveness, support advisor conversations, and improve prospect engagement and conversion
- Help shape and execute MCX’s role in the end-to-end sales enablement process, aligning strategy, content, experiences, and measurement
- Partner with stakeholders across MCX and the enterprise to drive clarity, alignment, and execution excellence

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in prospect marketing, growth marketing, or acquisition-focused roles, preferably within financial services or a complex B2B environment
- 10+ years’ experience leading integrated, multi-channel, and performance-driven marketing strategies aligned to sales outcomes; strong background in content strategy, positioning, digital engagement, paid media, and campaign orchestration
- 5+ years’ experience leading teams while remaining actively engaged as a player/coach

- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with sales enablement and business development teams
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders across organizational functions
- A collaborative, low-ego leadership approach, with the humility to listen, learn, and strengthen alignment while driving results
- Strong strategic storytelling and executive communication skills
- A data-informed mindset with experience using insights to guide marketing strategy and optimization

Pay Range:
$138,638.00 - $231,132.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
