About The Role
As an ISD Global Support Intern, you will provide hands‑on technical support to users across multiple IT environments, assisting with hardware, software, networking, and enterprise system troubleshooting. You will help identify, research, and resolve technical issues. This role is ideal for a student looking for real-world experience in IT operations, global service delivery, and enterprise support processes. You will report to the IT Team Lead and be located at our Columbia facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.
Key Responsibilities
- Help provide tier‑1/tier‑2 technical support for end‑users
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues (Windows, macOS, mobile devices)
- Help configure, imaging, and deploying laptops, desktops, and peripheral equipment
- Support enterprise applications such as M365, VPN, remote‑access tools, and collaboration platforms
- Help monitor system alerts, service tickets, and incident queues
- Participate in routine system maintenance, updates, and patch cycles
- Participate and collaborate with global IT teams to support infrastructure projects and technology rollouts
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Experience with PC hardware, Windows operating systems, and common productivity software
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi‑Fi, and VPN)
- No relocation assistance provided
