JOB DESCRIPTION
Shift: Morning
Pay Rate: $19.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs all work in a safe manner in accordance with safety policy.
- Accurately receives, stocks, picks, packages and ships materials for external and internal orders by due date.
- Checks and verifies all quantities and product markings to ensure inventory records are maintained properly against related documents (BOM’s, Packing Slips, and Picking Tickets).
- Documents all inventory movements according to established guidelines in SAP.
- Participates in team projects for continuous improvement, 5s organization, and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Material Control Specialist I: 0-2 years related experience
- The ability to lift fifty pounds and safe operation of a stand up and conventional fork lift.
- Must be able to work as a team player, under production pressure with changing priorities, work unplanned overtime, and 24-hour on call (pager) as required.
- Ability to understand mathematical conversions in relation to unit of measures, read a tape measure, and accurately count material in storage locations.
- Material Control Specialist II: 2-4 years related experience
- Ability to receive, issue, and transfer materials within established SAP guidelines.
- The understanding of consignment, floor stock, and vendor managed inventory.
- The ability to use all SAP inquiry tools for materials and export data to a spreadsheet.
- Material Control Specialist III: Over 4 years related experience
- Must be able to read drawings, understand Bill of Materials, ATP, and MRP.
- Coordinate the logistics and process shipments for all types of freight carriers including all exports according to policy.
- The skill and knowledge to trouble shoot, analyze historical inventory transactions, and have extensive knowledge of the material flow through all SAP processes including production orders to identify and correct the root cause of variances.
- The ability to process all SAP transactions and possess the working knowledge of all areas within the Inventory area (Shipping, Staging, Receiving, and Cycle Counting).
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
