ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Strategic Product and Market Manager you will partner across Product SBUs, Finance, Sales, Technology and Marketing to drive alignment and translate data into actionable strategies that drive growth, improve price realization, mix, and product line profitability. You serve as a strategic bridge between portfolio leadership and execution teams—enabling fact-based decision-making at the portfolio and sector level to drive margin improvement. While playing a critical role in increasing the share of differentiated, higher-margin products through disciplined pricing, cost management, supply strategy, and strong cross-functional coordination. You will bring advanced strategic marketing capabilities and analytical rigor to the team, helping to drive margin expansion through mix improvement and improved asset utilization working closely with Operations and Sales teams to drive strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the North American Institutional Solutions product and market strategy to outperform competitors in our target market, driving profitable growth and achieving full margin potential.
- Provide Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership and strategy development within North America to drive alignment across functions to activate strategic initiatives.
- Own the NPI growth plan to improve portfolio competitiveness in alignment with Product Managers, Sector Marketing, Global Marketing and Technology teams.
- Drive margin improvement through product mix optimization, disciplined pricing execution, cost management, and regional supply strategy.
- Facilitate strategy and profitability improvement workshops.
- Collaborate with product managers, sales and operations to ensure the right products are made at the right assets to drive improved plant absorption.
- Support pricing analysis and strategy in collaboration with Product Managers and Pricing team.
- Partner with sales on key deals and proposal development to improve win rates.
- Provide regional guidance and input to Sector Marketing, Sales and Global Teams with high visibility to senior management.
- Play a strong role in improving overall portfolio positioning to align with sector needs and expanding the share of differentiated, higher-margin products.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, supporting an environment where individuals feel empowered to contribute and grow.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field. MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the product lines / markets for which you would be responsible; exposure to pricing processes is required.
- Strong profitability and growth orientation; willingness to challenge the sales team when required; and the mindset to work through details.
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to apply analytical solutions to business problems.
- Strong background in strategic marketing and pricing fundamentals with demonstrated application of key frameworks to develop winning strategies.
- Strong time management and cross-functional people management skills.
- Ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional workshops to solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate team members.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence multiple teams.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Industry and customer literacy, or the ability to quickly learn Solenis/Diversey markets and technologies.
- Strong financial acumen to support systems and interface effectively with sales and marketing organizations to drive specific action plans and programs.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools to solve business problems—not just theoretical knowledge.
- Experience translating ambiguous, fragmented, or low-quality data environments into actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of:
- Data structures, APIs, and data flows
- Analytics / BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel advanced modeling)
- Prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows (content, analysis, automation)
- Proven ability to turn data into decisions (pricing, portfolio optimization, customer segmentation).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally we would like someone located within travel distance of Fort Mill, SC. However for the right candidate we would be open to someone remote who can travel.

COMPENSATION
The expected compensation range for this position is between $142,240.00 and $208,615.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
