Which food & beverage companies sponsor visas in South Carolina?
Major sponsors include Anheuser-Busch InBev for brewing operations, Sonoco Products for packaging engineering roles, and various food processing facilities in the Midlands region. Craft breweries in Charleston like Holy City Brewing and Greenville's growing distillery scene also sponsor specialized positions. Manufacturing-focused roles typically see H-1B sponsorship for engineering and quality control positions.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most food & beverage sponsorship jobs?
Charleston leads with its tourism-driven hospitality sector and craft beverage industry, followed by Greenville's manufacturing hub which hosts food processing and beverage production facilities. Columbia offers opportunities in food science and agricultural processing, while smaller cities like Williamsburg County provide specialized manufacturing roles at major facilities like Anheuser-Busch InBev.
How to find food & beverage visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for South Carolina food and beverage positions that offer visa sponsorship. Focus on manufacturing roles in the Midlands, craft beverage positions in Charleston, and food processing opportunities throughout the state. Many positions require specialized skills in food science, brewing technology, or manufacturing engineering that qualify for sponsorship.
What visa types are most common for food & beverage roles in South Carolina?
H-1B visas dominate for specialized roles like food scientists, quality engineers, and brewing technologists at major facilities. TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican professionals in food science and engineering positions. Some craft beverage operations use O-1 visas for master brewers or distillers with exceptional expertise in specialized production techniques.
How do prevailing wages affect food & beverage sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's lower cost of living results in more competitive prevailing wages for food and beverage roles compared to coastal states. This makes H-1B sponsorship more financially viable for employers, particularly in manufacturing and food processing positions. Rural counties often have the lowest prevailing wage requirements, benefiting agricultural processing facilities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored food & beverage jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
