What You’ll Do
As a Distributor Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing revenue and margin through strategic retail and “pull through” wholesale product sales. You will co-develop regional growth, margin improvement strategies with channel stakeholders. Other duties include:
- Lead & Support distributor business units through value selling of “capture, quantification and communication” strategy.
- Maximize profitability through creative collaboration and deployment of new products and services.
- Grow revenue and profit margin by 10% YOY.
- Co-develop & support distributor strategy with GM’s Distributors, Business Development, Corp Accounts.
- Execute on pricing uplift strategies.
- Build strong trusting relationships with DN Partners.
- Utilize blasting knowledge to consult distributor customers on potential targets.
- 2-way market communication with product managers and supply chain.
- Coordinate, motivate and lead respective stakeholders to service the customer effectively and profitably.
- Frequent reporting of current state and future targets.
- Communicate and lead internal stakeholders to fulfill distributor requests/initiatives, etc.
- Collaborate with finance & PM for overall pricing strategy.
- Manage channel conflict.
- Participate/ facilitate product manager engagement with distributor stakeholders and have a deep understanding of monetization of value.
- Ability to influence internal, external and cross functional senior level stakeholders.
- Must be self-motivated, a good planner and flexible to changing schedule.
- Safe Work Practice by focusing on zero harm and leading others by example.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
- 8+ years of experience in explosives industry or similar heavy industry (12+ years in lieu of degree). Drilling and blasting, distribution, job estimating, product sales and service sales.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Knowledge of basic SAP inventory functions.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
