Which sports companies sponsor visas in Utah?
Major sponsors include the Utah Jazz, Real Salt Lake, Utah Hockey Club, and Vail Resorts (Park City Mountain Resort). Ski resort operators like Deer Valley Resort and Snowbird also sponsor visas for seasonal positions. Sports marketing firms, outdoor recreation companies like Black Diamond Equipment, and university athletics departments at University of Utah and Utah State provide additional opportunities.
Which visa types are most common for sports roles in Utah?
H-1B visas are common for specialized roles like sports analytics, marketing, and facility management positions. O-1 visas work well for athletes, coaches, and sports media professionals with extraordinary ability. TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican professionals in sports business roles, while J-1 visas support seasonal positions at ski resorts and international internship programs.
How to find sports visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international candidates with Utah sports employers who sponsor work visas. Focus on Salt Lake City for professional teams and year-round opportunities, plus Park City and surrounding areas for ski resort positions. University athletics departments and outdoor recreation companies also offer sponsorship opportunities throughout the state.
Which cities in Utah have the most sports sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City leads with professional sports teams, sports marketing agencies, and the University of Utah athletics program. Park City offers significant opportunities through world-class ski resorts and the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association headquarters. Logan hosts Utah State University athletics, while Provo provides opportunities through Brigham Young University sports programs and recreation companies.
What makes Utah unique for sports visa sponsorship?
Utah's combination of professional sports, world-class ski resorts, and outdoor recreation industry creates year-round opportunities. What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sports jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
