Which consulting companies sponsor visas in Utah?
Major consulting firms with Utah offices that sponsor visas include Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, primarily in Salt Lake City. Regional technology consulting firms like Pluralsight (now part of Vista Equity Partners) and local IT consulting companies also sponsor H-1B visas for specialized consulting roles in areas like cloud migration and digital transformation.
Which cities in Utah have the most consulting sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City dominates consulting visa sponsorship opportunities, housing most major firms' Utah offices and serving as the state's business hub. Provo follows as a secondary market, particularly for technology consulting roles tied to the area's growing tech ecosystem. West Valley City and Park City occasionally offer specialized consulting positions.
How to find consulting visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for consulting positions in Utah that offer visa sponsorship. Filter by consulting subcategories like management consulting, IT consulting, or strategy consulting, and focus on Salt Lake City and Provo where most opportunities exist. Many Utah consulting firms don't advertise visa sponsorship prominently but will consider strong candidates.
Which visa types are most common for consulting roles in Utah?
H-1B visas are the primary sponsorship option for consulting roles in Utah, particularly for management consultants, business analysts, and IT consultants with specialized skills. L-1 visas are common for consultants transferring from international offices of major firms. O-1 visas occasionally apply for senior strategy consultants with exceptional track records.
What prevailing wage considerations affect consulting jobs in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wages for consulting roles are generally lower than coastal markets but competitive within the Mountain West region. Salt Lake City commands the highest wages for consulting positions, while smaller Utah markets offer proportionally lower prevailing wage requirements. Technology consulting roles typically have higher wage requirements than general management consulting positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored consulting jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
