Which companies sponsor visas for accounting managers in Tennessee?
Large multinationals and healthcare systems are the most consistent sponsors. HCA Healthcare and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, FedEx and International Paper in Memphis, and Eastman Chemical in Kingsport have all filed H-1B visa petitions for accounting and finance management roles. Manufacturing companies with international ownership, particularly in the automotive supply chain around Smyrna and Spring Hill, also sponsor accounting managers with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for accounting manager roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for accounting managers in Tennessee, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. CPA-qualified candidates from Australia may also qualify for the E-3 visa. Candidates already holding an L-1 visa through an intracompany transfer are another common pathway, particularly within large corporations that have U.S. operations in Tennessee.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most accounting manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the largest share of accounting manager sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, corporate headquarters, and professional services firms. Memphis is a secondary hub with strength in logistics and distribution. Knoxville and Chattanooga see smaller but consistent demand, particularly from manufacturing and energy companies. Franklin and Brentwood, suburbs south of Nashville, also host several corporate finance teams that hire at the manager level.
How to find accounting manager visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search accounting manager roles in Tennessee without sifting through positions that don't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings at employers with a documented history of sponsoring finance and accounting roles in the state. Filtering by Tennessee and the accounting manager job category gives you a focused list relevant to your situation.
Are there any Tennessee-specific considerations for accounting managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since the Department of Labor's wage determinations are based on gross compensation benchmarks that may look different here than in high-tax states. The state's lower cost of living relative to coastal markets can make Nashville and Memphis attractive posting locations. Candidates with CPA licensure tend to have an advantage, as Tennessee employers in regulated industries often require it for manager-level roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accounting manager jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
