Which companies sponsor visas for project program managers in Tennessee?
HCA Healthcare and its subsidiaries in Nashville sponsor program managers for healthcare IT and operations initiatives. FedEx in Memphis hires project program managers across logistics technology and supply chain. Tennessee Valley Authority sponsors roles in infrastructure and energy program delivery. Nissan's Smyrna operations and Oracle's Nashville presence also appear in federal LCA disclosure data as consistent sponsors for these roles.
Which visa types are most common for project program managers in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project program manager roles in Tennessee, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, meeting specialty occupation standards. Candidates with extraordinary achievements in program management may qualify for the O-1A. Canadians and Mexicans may be eligible for TN visa status under the USMCA, which covers management consultants and engineers in qualifying configurations.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most project program manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the largest share of sponsorship activity for this role, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, finance firms, and enterprise technology companies. Memphis generates significant demand through its logistics, supply chain, and distribution sectors. Knoxville sees sponsorship activity tied to advanced manufacturing, energy, and research institutions including Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee.
How to find project program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles offering visa sponsorship, so you can search project program manager positions in Tennessee without sorting through employers unlikely to sponsor. The platform is built for international candidates, pulling together openings from healthcare, logistics, and technology employers across Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville. Filtering by Tennessee and this role category gives you a focused list of actively sponsoring employers.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for project program managers in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which can affect how employers benchmark total compensation against Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions. The state's healthcare sector concentration means many sponsoring employers operate under federal contractor or large-employer status, making them more familiar with LCA filing obligations. Tennessee's growing technology presence in Nashville has also expanded the pool of employers with established immigration programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project program manager jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
