Which companies sponsor visas for project program managers in Indiana?
Eli Lilly and Cummins are among Indiana's most active visa sponsors for project and program management roles, given their large global operations and structured HR processes. Salesforce's Indianapolis office, Rolls-Royce's defense and aerospace division, and Zimmer Biomet in Warsaw also have hiring patterns that include sponsorship for experienced project program managers. Larger employers with established immigration programs are generally the most reliable starting point.
Which visa types are most common for project program manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for project program manager roles in Indiana, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like engineering, business, or information technology. L-1A intracompany transfers are also used when candidates move from a foreign office of a multinational employer. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or engineering roles.
Which cities in Indiana have the most project program manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of project program manager sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and technology companies. Fort Wayne has a strong advanced manufacturing presence with employers like Lincoln Financial and Do it Best. South Bend and Bloomington see some activity through Notre Dame, Indiana University, and affiliated research and healthcare organizations.
How to find project program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for project program manager roles in Indiana without sifting through postings that don't support international candidates. The platform focuses on employers with documented sponsorship activity, which is particularly useful in Indiana where sponsorship is concentrated among larger manufacturers, life sciences firms, and enterprise tech companies rather than spread evenly across the market.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for project program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are set by the Department of Labor based on the Indianapolis or relevant metropolitan statistical area, so job location within the state affects wage levels. Indiana's life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors tend to prefer candidates with technical undergraduate degrees paired with project management credentials such as PMP certification. University pipelines from Purdue and Indiana University also feed into regional employers with established sponsorship infrastructure.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project program manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
