Search Business Development Executive Jobs in TexasBusiness Development Executive Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in Texas sponsor visas for business development executives?
Large multinationals with significant Texas footprints are among the most consistent sponsors for business development executive roles. These include Dell Technologies and NXP Semiconductors in Austin, AT&T and Toyota North America in Dallas, and ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Schlumberger in Houston. Enterprise software companies like Oracle and SAP also sponsor senior business development hires across Texas offices regularly.
Which visa types are most common for business development executives in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most frequently used visa category for business development executives, provided the role requires a specialized degree, such as business, finance, or a technical field relevant to the industry. The L-1A is common for executives transferring from a related overseas entity. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa for certain qualifying positions.
Which Texas cities have the most business development executive sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads the state in business development executive sponsorship volume, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters across technology, finance, and healthcare. Houston follows closely due to its energy and industrial sectors, where multinational companies frequently sponsor senior commercial roles. Austin has grown significantly as a sponsorship hub, particularly in software and venture-backed technology companies seeking experienced international business development talent.
How to find business development executive visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles in the U.S., including business development executive positions in Texas. You can filter jobs by state and role to see which Texas employers are actively sponsoring candidates. This is more focused than general job searches because listings are curated for sponsorship-eligible candidates, helping you avoid roles where international applicants are unlikely to be considered.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for business development executives seeking visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations and total compensation structuring that employers submit to the Department of Labor for H-1B Labor Condition Applications. The state's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters means many companies have in-house immigration teams experienced with sponsorship. Industries like energy, semiconductor manufacturing, and enterprise software have particularly deep international hiring pipelines across Houston, Dallas, and Austin.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development executive jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
