Which companies sponsor visas for customer program managers in Texas?
Technology and enterprise software companies are the most active sponsors for customer program manager roles in Texas. Dell Technologies in Round Rock, Oracle in Austin, AT&T in Dallas, and Amazon Web Services across multiple Texas offices have filed Labor Condition Applications for this role category. Large consulting firms including Accenture and Cognizant also sponsor customer program managers based in Texas.
Which visa types are most common for customer program manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for customer program managers in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field. Australian nationals may qualify for the E-3 visa, which follows a similar process without a lottery. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifications align with eligible USMCA occupational categories.
Which cities in Texas have the most customer program manager sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads Texas for customer program manager sponsorship activity, driven by its dense concentration of technology companies and enterprise software firms. Dallas and its suburbs, including Plano and Irving, are strong due to major corporate headquarters in finance and telecommunications. Houston adds opportunities in energy technology and healthcare IT, where customer program management roles are increasingly common.
How to find customer program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find customer program manager roles in Texas where employers are actively willing to sponsor. You can filter by state and role type to surface positions at companies with a documented history of H-1B and E-3 filings for program management positions, saving significant research time compared to unfiltered job searches.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for customer program manager visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations and total compensation benchmarking used in Labor Condition Applications. The Austin and Dallas metro areas have distinct prevailing wage levels set by the Department of Labor, so the same title can carry different wage requirements depending on worksite location. Texas's large university system, including UT Austin and Texas A&M, also creates a pipeline of international graduates pursuing sponsorship in this role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored customer program manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
