Which manufacturing companies sponsor E-3 visas in Texas?
Texas-based manufacturers that have sponsored E-3 visas include companies in aerospace and defense (Lockheed Martin, Bell Textron), semiconductors (Texas Instruments, NXP Semiconductors), chemicals (Celanese, LyondellBasell), and industrial equipment (Flowserve, NOV). Sponsorship patterns vary by facility, hiring cycle, and role, so checking individual employer filings through the Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure data gives the most accurate picture of which companies are actively sponsoring.
Which cities in Texas have the most manufacturing E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Houston leads for chemical, petrochemical, and industrial manufacturing roles, given its concentration along the Gulf Coast. Dallas-Fort Worth is the center for semiconductor, electronics, and aerospace manufacturing. San Antonio has a growing advanced manufacturing base, particularly in aerospace and defense through companies like Boeing and StandardAero. Austin's manufacturing sector skews toward technology hardware. Each city attracts different engineering and technical disciplines, so targeting your search by specialty matters.
What types of manufacturing roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field. In manufacturing, roles that commonly meet this standard include process engineers, quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, chemical engineers, electrical engineers, materials scientists, and industrial designers. General production, assembly, or floor supervisor roles typically do not qualify unless they carry significant technical or engineering responsibilities tied to a relevant degree field.
How do I find manufacturing E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type (E-3), industry (manufacturing), and state (Texas) so you see only roles where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness. Beyond browsing Migrate Mate, reviewing Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for Texas manufacturing employers helps identify which companies have filed E-3 labor condition applications in recent certification cycles, giving you a grounded list of employers to target directly.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for manufacturing E-3 sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects total compensation calculations that employers use when determining prevailing wage compliance under the LCA. Texas also sits within U.S. Customs and Border Protection's El Paso and Houston field offices, relevant if you travel internationally and re-enter at a Texas port of entry. The state's large manufacturing base means a high volume of E-3 LCA filings, but sponsorship still depends entirely on the individual employer and role meeting federal specialty occupation standards.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 manufacturing jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
