Which companies in Texas sponsor visas for product owners?
Several large employers in Texas have consistent track records of sponsoring product owners through the H-1B program. Dell Technologies in Round Rock, AT&T in Dallas, and Oracle in Austin are among the most active. Healthcare technology companies, financial services firms, and enterprise software companies concentrated in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex also regularly file sponsorship petitions for this role.
Which visa types are most commonly used for product owner roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product owners in Texas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, while Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa. L-1B transfers are also used when candidates move within a multinational company.
How to find product owner visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, which saves significant time when targeting product owner roles in Texas. You can browse opportunities across Austin, Dallas, and Houston from companies with active H-1B filing histories. Because sponsorship availability is often unlisted on general job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that surfaces this information directly is a practical starting point.
Which cities in Texas have the most product owner sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads for product owner sponsorship opportunities, particularly in software, SaaS, and consumer technology. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with a concentration of enterprise tech, telecommunications, and financial services employers. Houston adds meaningful volume through energy technology and healthcare IT companies. San Antonio has a smaller but growing presence driven by cybersecurity and cloud services firms with federal contracts.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product owners seeking sponsorship in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which influences employer compensation structures and can affect how prevailing wage benchmarks compare to other states. The University of Texas system and Texas A&M produce large numbers of graduates who enter the local product and technology talent pipeline, making competition for sponsored roles meaningful. Texas also has a high concentration of H-1B-dependent employers in the IT consulting sector, which carries additional compliance obligations under federal law.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product owner jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
