Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for product owners?
Adobe, Qualtrics, Pluralsight, and Domo are among the Utah-based tech companies with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for product-focused roles. Larger enterprises and SaaS companies in the Salt Lake City metro tend to have established immigration processes, making them more likely to sponsor than early-stage startups, which often lack the infrastructure to navigate the filing requirements.
What visa types are most commonly used for product owner roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product owner positions in Utah, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1B visas are an option for candidates transferring within a multinational company. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is far less competitive than the H-1B.
Which cities in Utah have the most product owner visa sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and its surrounding communities, particularly Lehi and Draper along the stretch known as Silicon Slopes, concentrate the majority of product owner sponsorship opportunities in Utah. This corridor is home to a dense cluster of SaaS, fintech, and enterprise software companies that regularly hire for product roles and have prior H-1B filing records with the Department of Labor.
How to find product owner visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify product owner positions in Utah without sorting through companies that don't sponsor. You can browse by state and role type to see current openings from employers with sponsorship history. This is more targeted than general job searches, which rarely surface sponsorship intent clearly.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for product owners seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's Silicon Slopes has matured significantly, but many companies there are mid-sized or growth-stage, and sponsorship policies vary widely even within that group. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University produce strong local product and tech talent, meaning international candidates compete with a well-qualified domestic pool. Product owners with backgrounds in SaaS, health tech, or fintech tend to align best with what Utah employers are actively hiring.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product owner jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
