Which companies sponsor visas for product owners in New Jersey?
Large employers with consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories for product owner roles in New Jersey include Johnson & Johnson, Cognizant, Conduent, Prudential Financial, and Merck. Financial technology firms in Jersey City and major consulting companies operating out of Newark also sponsor product owners regularly. DOL H-1B disclosure data is the most reliable way to verify a specific employer's sponsorship activity.
Which visa types are most common for product owner roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product owner roles in New Jersey, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. L-1B visas appear when multinational companies transfer product owners from overseas offices. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business analyst or computer systems analyst categories, depending on how the role is defined.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most product owner sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City leads due to its dense concentration of financial services and fintech employers, with easy access to New York City's tech ecosystem. Newark is a strong second, home to major corporate headquarters and consulting firms. Princeton and the surrounding Route 1 corridor attract product owners in life sciences and enterprise software. Parsippany and Basking Ridge also have notable employer concentrations in insurance and telecommunications.
How to find product owner visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for product owner roles in New Jersey without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces employers with documented sponsorship activity in this state. Given that product owner openings in New Jersey span pharma, fintech, and enterprise tech, using Migrate Mate helps narrow results to roles where sponsorship is a realistic part of the hiring process.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product owners seeking visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are set at the federal level but benchmarked to local labor market data, and the state's high cost of living means New Jersey wage determinations often come in above national averages for product owner roles. New Jersey also has a strong university pipeline through Rutgers and NJIT, which means employers are accustomed to hiring international graduates. The state's proximity to New York City creates a competitive but active sponsorship market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product owner jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
