Search Sales Business Development Jobs in TexasSales Business Development Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for sales business development roles in Texas?
Large technology and enterprise software companies are among the most active sponsors for sales business development roles in Texas. Dell Technologies (Round Rock), Oracle (Austin), SAP, Salesforce, and IBM all have established commercial teams in the state and documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories. Enterprise SaaS companies expanding their sales operations in Austin and Dallas also regularly sponsor qualifying candidates.
Which visa types are most common for sales business development roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most commonly used visa for sales business development professionals in Texas, particularly for roles involving strategic account management, market analysis, or business strategy that require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. The L-1B and L-1A categories apply when candidates are transferring from an overseas office of the same employer. TN visa status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying positions.
Which cities in Texas have the most sales business development sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads the state for sales business development sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of technology companies and startup growth. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, supported by a high density of corporate headquarters across finance, telecom, and enterprise software. Houston adds significant volume through energy sector companies and industrial technology firms with international commercial operations.
How to find sales business development visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, making it a practical starting point for sales business development roles in Texas. You can filter by state and role type to surface employers with active sponsorship histories. Because sponsorship availability is not always stated in job postings, using a platform that cross-references employer filing data helps narrow your search to companies that have sponsored similar positions before.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for sales business development visa sponsorship candidates?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects compensation benchmarking and prevailing wage calculations that employers submit with H-1B petitions. The state's university system, including UT Austin and Texas A&M, produces a strong domestic pipeline for sales roles, so international candidates tend to be more competitive when they bring specialized industry knowledge, multilingual skills, or enterprise experience relevant to Texas-based sectors like energy, semiconductor, or fintech.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales business development jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
