Which companies sponsor visas for sales business development roles in Massachusetts?
Several large technology and life sciences employers in Massachusetts have established track records of H-1B visa sponsorship for sales and business development roles. HubSpot, Wayfair, Drift, and Rapid7 in Boston, along with enterprise software firms in the Route 128 corridor, regularly file Labor Condition Applications for these positions. Larger multinationals with Massachusetts offices, including Salesforce and Oracle, also sponsor international candidates in business development functions.
Which visa types are most common for sales business development roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for sales business development roles in Massachusetts, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional category. Australians may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is available year-round.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most sales business development sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest share of sales business development sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts, driven by concentrations of SaaS companies, biotech firms, and financial services employers. Waltham and Burlington along the Route 128 technology corridor also have meaningful clusters of employers that sponsor international hires. Worcester has a smaller but growing presence, particularly among regional healthcare and technology companies hiring for business development functions.
How to find sales business development visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters sales business development roles in Massachusetts by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sifting through listings that won't support your visa. The platform aggregates roles from employers with documented sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful in Massachusetts where SaaS and biotech hiring cycles move quickly. Filtering by role type and state on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to searching general job boards.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for sales business development visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers filing H-1B petitions for sales business development roles must pay Department of Labor prevailing wages, which are benchmarked to the Boston-Cambridge-Newton metropolitan area and tend to reflect a competitive market. The state's strong university pipeline, including graduates from Boston University, Northeastern, and Babson College, means employers are accustomed to hiring international talent. Roles with heavy commission structures may require additional documentation to satisfy prevailing wage requirements, so the base salary component of any offer matters for sponsorship purposes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales business development jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
