Which companies sponsor visas for strategy roles in Texas?
Large consulting firms including McKinsey, Bain, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, and Accenture have established Texas offices that sponsor H-1B workers for strategy positions. Energy majors like ExxonMobil and Chevron Phillips Chemical, technology companies in Austin, and financial institutions headquartered in Dallas also appear regularly in Department of Labor H-1B disclosure data for strategy and business development roles.
Which visa types are most common for strategy roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the predominant visa for strategy positions in Texas, as corporate strategy and management consulting roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. L-1A visas are also used when multinational firms transfer managers or executives with strategy responsibilities into their Texas offices from international locations. O-1 visas occasionally apply to candidates with demonstrated exceptional achievement in their field.
Which cities in Texas have the most strategy sponsorship jobs?
Dallas and Houston generate the largest share of strategy sponsorship activity in Texas. Dallas concentrates consulting, financial services, and technology strategy roles, while Houston's energy sector drives significant demand for corporate strategy and business development positions. Austin has grown substantially as a technology hub, with strategy roles at firms including Dell, Apple's Austin operations, and a range of high-growth startups increasingly appearing in sponsorship filings.
How to find strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, letting you search strategy roles in Texas without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by city, role type, and visa category to surface openings at consulting firms, energy companies, and technology employers across Dallas, Houston, and Austin. Migrate Mate's data is drawn from employers with documented H-1B filing histories, so the listings reflect real sponsorship intent.
Are there any state-specific considerations for strategy visa sponsorship in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage benchmarking since the Department of Labor sets wage levels based on local market data specific to each metropolitan area. Dallas, Houston, and Austin each have separate prevailing wage determinations, so a strategy role in Austin may carry different requirements than an equivalent position in Houston. The state's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters also means larger employers with established immigration programs are more accessible here than in smaller markets.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
