We work hand-in-hand, building Tinder for our members. We succeed together when we work collaboratively across functions, teams, and time zones, and think outside the box to achieve our company vision and mission.
Own It
We take accountability and strive to make a positive impact in all aspects of our business, through ownership, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
Never Stop Learning
We cultivate a culture where it’s safe to take risks. We seek out input, share honest feedback, celebrate our wins, and learn from our mistakes in order to continue improving.
Spark Solutions
We’re problem solvers, focusing on how to best move forward when faced with obstacles. We don’t dwell on the past or on the issues at hand, but instead look at how to stay agile and overcome hurdles to achieve our goals.
Embrace Our Differences
We are intentional about building a workplace that reflects the rich diversity of our members. By leveraging different perspectives and other ways of thinking, we build better experiences for our members and our team.
We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development to architect and scale our external ecosystem through transformative product partnerships, high-impact distribution deals, and by identifying new revenue driving or other strategic opportunities. This role is responsible for defining how we partner with the world to accelerate innovation, deepen cultural relevance, and drive sustainable growth. This role defines how we grow beyond our walls. Product partnerships will shape how users experience and perceive us, while distribution partnerships will extend our reach and accelerate scale. This leader will balance long-term vision with near-term execution, translating external opportunity into durable competitive advantage. This role operates at the center of the company, owning initiatives from conception, and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, Legal, and Finance to execute and influence strategy and outcomes.
Product Partnerships: Use product partnerships as a core lever to define the future of our product and ecosystem.
- Set a bold, forward-looking vision for product partnerships as a driver of innovation, differentiation, and category leadership
- Identify, cultivate, and execute successful partnerships that expand what our product can be, unlocking new experiences, capabilities, and use cases
- Influence product strategy by bringing external perspective, proactively identifying emerging trends, industries and consumer behaviors, and sourcing and executing partner-enabled opportunities
- Build early relationships with up-and-coming partners and categories, positioning the company ahead of market inflection points (rather than reacting after they occur)
- Lead co-creation and deep integrations that feel native, differentiated, and meaningful to users
Distribution Partnerships: Translate vision into scale by building partnerships that drive measurable growth and monetization.
- Define a distribution partnership strategy that accelerates registrations, reactivations, MAU, payers, and revenue
- Identify partners and platforms that unlock new demand, reach, and moments of intent
- Structure and negotiate creative, scalable deals that align incentives and maximize long-term value
- Partner with Finance, Marketing and Analytics to test, learn, and optimize performance
- Own the full lifecycle of distribution partnership, from ideation to launch to scaled impact
- Establish clear success metrics, accountability, and performance rigor
New Ventures & Strategic Exploration
- Look beyond traditional product and distribution partnerships to identify new business opportunities, revenue streams, and growth vectors
- Proactively explore adjacent markets, new business models, and emerging platforms that could materially expand the company’s long-term opportunity
Leadership & Influence
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on ecosystem strategy, external innovation, and partnership-led growth
- Build and mentor a high performing Business Development team while also not afraid to dig into details and drive execution
- Set standards and frameworks for how the company evaluates, structures, and scales partnerships
- Act as a connective tissue across teams, aligning vision with execution
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategy, or related leadership roles
- Proven ability to lead product partnerships or platform ecosystems that drive meaningful user and brand impact
- Experience scaling distribution or growth partnerships with clear, measurable outcomes
- Strong strategic and commercial instincts, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity
- Deep cross-functional leadership experience with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Growth
- Compelling storyteller and negotiator, able to inspire both internal teams and external partners
The salary range for this position is $300,000 - $350,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, CA or Dallas, TX. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.

Which companies sponsor visas for VP Business Development roles in Texas?
Large technology and enterprise companies with significant Texas footprints are among the most active sponsors for senior business development roles. Dell Technologies in Round Rock, AT&T in Dallas, Oracle in Austin, and ExxonMobil in Houston have established histories of sponsoring H-1B and L-1A visas for executive and senior management positions. Mid-market SaaS companies in Austin's tech corridor also sponsor at this level for candidates with demonstrable revenue track records.
Which visa types are most common for VP Business Development roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for VP Business Development roles classified as specialty occupations, typically supported by a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field. The L-1A intracompany transferee visa is frequently used when candidates are moving from a foreign affiliate to a Texas office in a managerial capacity. Candidates with extraordinary ability in business development may also qualify for the O-1A visa.
Which cities in Texas have the most VP Business Development sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads in technology-sector VP Business Development sponsorship, fueled by the concentration of SaaS, semiconductor, and venture-backed companies along the North Corridor. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, anchored by telecommunications, financial services, and enterprise software firms. Houston's energy and healthcare industries generate consistent demand for senior business development executives with international backgrounds. San Antonio is a smaller but growing market, particularly in cybersecurity and defense contracting.
How to find vp business development visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find VP Business Development roles in Texas where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsorship-friendly positions, saving you from applying to roles where international candidates are screened out early. Because VP-level roles move quickly and are often filled through targeted outreach, checking Migrate Mate regularly and setting up alerts for Texas business development openings gives you a meaningful advantage.
What should international candidates know about pursuing VP Business Development roles in Texas?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage benchmarking under the H-1B Labor Condition Application process since DOL uses metropolitan area wage data rather than state-level figures. Austin and Dallas metro areas have distinct prevailing wage tiers for senior business development roles. VP-level positions also face closer USCIS scrutiny on whether the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, so employers typically document the degree requirement carefully in the petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vp business development jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
