Which companies sponsor visas for compliance specialists in Utah?
Financial institutions and technology firms lead visa sponsorship for compliance specialists in Utah. Zions Bancorporation, Goldman Sachs (which has a significant Salt Lake City presence), and Pluralsight have sponsored compliance roles in past years. Healthcare organizations like Intermountain Health and large employers in the insurance and financial services sectors also hire internationally for compliance functions, particularly for regulatory, AML, and data privacy roles.
Which visa types are most common for compliance specialist roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for compliance specialists in Utah, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, law, business, or information systems. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa. Those with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may pursue TN status under the USMCA. Compliance roles generally qualify as specialty occupations due to their degree-specific requirements.
Which cities in Utah have the most compliance specialist sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the large majority of compliance specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Utah, driven by its concentration of financial services firms, technology companies, and corporate headquarters. South Jordan and Sandy, both within the Salt Lake metro, also host significant financial and fintech operations. Provo-Orem is a secondary hub, particularly for technology companies with compliance and legal functions tied to software and data products.
How to find compliance specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to browse compliance specialist openings in Utah without sorting through roles that won't sponsor. You can narrow results by location and role type to focus on Salt Lake City, Provo, and other Utah metro areas. Compliance roles in financial services, healthcare, and technology tend to appear most frequently, so filtering by those industries improves results further.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for compliance specialists seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's fintech corridor along the Wasatch Front has expanded the pool of employers actively hiring compliance professionals, particularly for AML, BSA, and data privacy roles. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University produce finance and business graduates who compete for the same entry-level positions, so internationally qualified candidates tend to differentiate most effectively at mid-senior levels where specialized regulatory expertise is harder to source domestically.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored compliance specialist jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
