Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for development managers?
Several established tech employers in Utah have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for development managers. Adobe, Qualtrics, Pluralsight, Domo, and eBay's Utah offices have all filed Labor Condition Applications for senior technical management roles. Large enterprises outside pure tech, including Goldman Sachs's Salt Lake City technology hub and healthcare IT firms like Health Catalyst, also sponsor development managers with international backgrounds.
What visa types are most common for development manager roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for development managers in Utah, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1A visas are also used when a candidate is transferring from a multinational employer's foreign office into a managerial position at a Utah location. Candidates with extraordinary ability may qualify for the O-1 visa.
Which cities in Utah have the most development manager sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and its surrounding Silicon Slopes corridor, including Lehi, Draper, and Provo, account for the large majority of development manager sponsorship opportunities in Utah. Lehi in particular hosts headquarters and large offices for Qualtrics, Adobe, and several high-growth SaaS companies. Ogden and St. George have a smaller but growing presence, primarily tied to healthcare technology and government contracting employers.
How to find development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship roles and filters development manager jobs in Utah by sponsorship history and visa type. Rather than manually screening general job postings, you can browse development manager openings at Utah employers who have actively sponsored international workers. This significantly reduces time spent applying to roles where sponsorship is unlikely to be offered.
Are there state-specific considerations for development managers seeking sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B filings are determined by the Department of Labor's wage levels for the Salt Lake City and Provo metropolitan areas, which reflect the region's competitive tech market. Utah State University and the University of Utah also produce a pipeline of local graduates that employers draw from, meaning international candidates are most competitive when applying for senior or specialized development manager roles where domestic supply is limited.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored development manager jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
