Diversified Services Network is seeking a Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and supporting revenue growth for the staffing and consulting business. This role focuses on identifying companies with hiring and consulting needs, developing client relationships, and partnering with delivery teams to provide workforce solutions across contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, referrals, and social selling.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and cultivate long-term relationships with hiring managers and key decision-makers.
- Conduct client discovery meetings to understand staffing, consulting, and workforce needs and present tailored solutions.
- Generate new client accounts while expanding existing relationships to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Collaborate with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure timely and successful fulfillment of client requirements.
- Negotiate service agreements, pricing, and contract terms within company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, forecasts, and client information in the CRM system.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the company at networking events, industry associations, and client meetings.
- Consistently meet or exceed individual sales, activity, and revenue goals while delivering exceptional client service.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of business development, staffing sales, or B2B sales experience.
- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and establish long-term client relationships.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar systems.
- Self-motivated with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in staffing, workforce solutions, IT consulting, engineering consulting, or professional services.
