Which companies sponsor visas for development managers in Georgia?
Georgia's largest H-1B sponsors for development management roles include NCR Voyix, Global Payments, Cox Enterprises, Delta Air Lines, and Fiserv, all headquartered or with major operations in the Atlanta metro. Large consulting firms such as Infosys, Cognizant, and Capgemini also file significant numbers of petitions for development managers placed with Georgia-based clients.
Which visa types are most common for development manager roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for development managers in Georgia, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. L-1A intracompany transferee visas are also used when a candidate is moving from a foreign affiliate to a Georgia office in a managerial capacity.
Which cities in Georgia have the most development manager sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the substantial majority of development manager sponsorship activity in Georgia, particularly in the Midtown, Buckhead, and Peachtree City corridors. Alpharetta, known locally as the Technology City of the South, hosts a dense cluster of technology and fintech employers. Savannah and Augusta have smaller but growing tech presences, primarily tied to logistics and government contracting sectors.
How to find development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search development manager roles in Georgia without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces employers actively filing H-1B petitions for this role type in the state, saving significant research time compared to reviewing unfiltered job postings.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for development managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Georgia's fintech concentration means many development manager roles require domain knowledge in payments, banking infrastructure, or insurance technology, which can influence how employers frame specialty occupation qualifications in H-1B petitions. Georgia Tech's pipeline also means local employers are accustomed to sponsoring international graduates, which can make the sponsorship conversation more straightforward at established Atlanta-area technology companies.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored development manager jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
