Which companies sponsor visas for development managers in Oklahoma?
Energy and finance companies are among the most consistent sponsors. ONEOK, Devon Energy, and BOK Financial have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for management-level technology roles. Aerospace and defense firms operating near Tulsa, along with healthcare systems such as INTEGRIS Health and Saint Francis Health System, also appear in federal sponsorship records for development and IT management positions.
Which visa types are most common for development manager roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for development manager roles, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with extraordinary achievement may pursue the O-1 visa. Intracompany transfers through multinational employers operating in Oklahoma can use the L-1A, which is specifically designed for managers and executives.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most development manager sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the majority of development manager sponsorship activity in the state. Oklahoma City benefits from a growing technology corridor and significant state government contracting. Tulsa draws from its energy sector heritage and an emerging tech community supported by the Tulsa Remote program, which has attracted distributed employers who sometimes hire locally for management roles.
How to find development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search development manager roles in Oklahoma without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces employers who have a documented history of sponsorship, which is particularly useful in Oklahoma where energy, finance, and healthcare companies vary widely in their willingness to sponsor management-level roles.
Are there state-specific considerations for development managers pursuing sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's energy sector creates a distinct hiring pattern where development manager roles often sit at the intersection of software and operational technology, which can affect how employers define the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B purposes. Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma produce engineering and computer science graduates that shape local hiring norms. International candidates should confirm the specific degree and field requirements tied to each role before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored development manager jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
