Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for development managers?
Indianapolis-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship for development manager roles include Salesforce, Eli Lilly, Anthem (now Elevance Health), and Rolls-Royce. Indiana's finance and insurance sector, anchored by companies like OneAmerica and Indiana Farm Bureau, also sponsors development managers regularly. Reviewing Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for Indiana will show you which employers have filed recently and at what certification volume.
Which visa types are most common for development manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa for development managers in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems. Some Canadian and Mexican nationals working in development management may qualify under the TN visa category. Experienced managers with significant industry recognition may also explore the O-1A pathway.
Which cities in Indiana have the most development manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of development manager sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of healthcare technology firms, financial services companies, and regional tech employers. Carmel and Fishers, both suburban Indianapolis communities, have seen increased tech employer presence. Bloomington hosts some activity tied to Indiana University's research and technology ecosystem, and Fort Wayne has a smaller but active manufacturing technology hiring base.
How to find development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse development manager roles in Indiana without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform aggregates employer-sponsored openings across Indianapolis and surrounding metros, so you can focus your search on companies with an active sponsorship track record for this role rather than applying broadly and hoping for the best.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for development manager visa sponsorship?
Indiana employers sponsoring development managers under the H-1B must file a Labor Condition Application certifying they will pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and location, as determined by the Department of Labor for the Indianapolis or relevant metro area. Indiana's cost of living is lower than coastal tech hubs, which affects prevailing wage benchmarks. The state's strong presence in life sciences and advanced manufacturing means development manager roles often sit at the intersection of software and regulated industries, which can shape how employers document specialty occupation status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored development manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
