Which companies sponsor visas for development managers in Arizona?
Intel's Chandler campus, American Express's Phoenix technology hub, Honeywell, Banner Health, and GoDaddy have all filed Labor Condition Applications for development manager roles in Arizona. Defense contractors like Raytheon and General Dynamics, which have significant Arizona operations, also sponsor visa holders in engineering and program leadership positions, though each company's sponsorship policies vary by role and business need.
Which visa types are most common for development manager roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for development managers in Arizona, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field. L-1A visas are also used when a candidate is transferring from a multinational employer's overseas office into a managerial position at an Arizona location.
Which cities in Arizona have the most development manager sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the largest share of development manager sponsorship activity in Arizona, driven by its concentration of financial services, healthcare IT, and enterprise technology companies. Tempe and Scottsdale follow closely, with a cluster of software and SaaS companies. Chandler is notable specifically for semiconductor-related roles, given Intel's large manufacturing and engineering presence there.
How to find development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse development manager roles in Arizona without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Because Arizona's sponsorship activity is concentrated in a handful of metro areas and industries, using Migrate Mate to filter by location and role type helps you focus on employers actively hiring international candidates for development manager positions.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for development managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Arizona's Department of Economic Security tracks prevailing wage data that employers must reference when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B development manager roles. The state's growing semiconductor corridor, supported by CHIPS Act investment at Intel and TSMC's Phoenix fab, has increased demand for engineering management talent, which may improve sponsorship availability in that segment. Arizona State University and University of Arizona also feed regional talent pipelines that some employers prioritize when evaluating international candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored development manager jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
